Money is not complicated. People are complicated. Here, at Explore Financial Freedom we try and help people debunk the illusion that finance is something complicated or hard to understand. We believe that it is actually quite simple.
The definition of money is twofold.
Money is the exchange of value
Money is the store of value
The keyword in that twofold definition is VALUE. Value produces money and we exchange value. We consume or purchase what we value, and we earn by producing value. It is all about value.
The idea of a store of value is simply we want our money to hold its value or better yet grow exponentially in value. The store of value concept is really best defined in contemporary language as an Asset. The exchange between the value we offer and the value we seek. That's called Cash Flow in our contemporary language.
I have said this before and I will say it again, money follows value. If you want to understand finance you must understand the concept of value. This idea of value and its role in finance is best described as Branding in our contemporary language. Branding is in many ways the hidden secret in finance.
I call this the ABCs for Financial Freedom. They are as follows:
A - Acquire Assets
B - Build a Brand
C- Create Cash Flow
